On June 3, 2021, First Bankers Trust Company, N.A. (the “Company”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of First Bankers Trustshares, Inc., announced the appointment of Joe Davis as Chief Credit Officer (CCO) effective on or about July 6, 2021.

Joe DavisMr. Davis has been serving as the Senior Vice President, Regional Credit Officer for Heartland Financial in Denver, Colorado. Prior to then, he spent over a decade as a Vice President, Senior Credit Officer for Key Bank in Cleveland, Ohio and Old National Bank in Evansville, IN. Davis’ credit background and decades of experience make him a key addition to the Company.

Davis is Credit Risk Certified through the Risk Management Association. He holds a degree from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado in addition to a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus in Finance from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Michigan State University.
